Writing Lectures for CPENet!

CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION FOR  PROFESSIONALS

Writing lectures/articles for CPENet for publication credit and royalties is a straight forward process. Just carry out the following simple steps:

Send us an e-mail containing:

bulletYour Full Name
bulletYour e-mail address
bulletYour telephone and fax number
bulletYour full mailing address including zip code
bulletList any  certifications (CIA, CPA, CISA, CFE, CMA, LLD.) You must possess a minimum of a college degree and at least one of the certifications between the parenthesis to write lectures for CPENet.
bulletYour employer and your position title
bulletThe title of the lecture you wish to submit and a description of the subject matter
bulletThe area of study--would the course fall under:
bulletAccounting & Auditing
bulletManagement
bulletPersonal Development
bulletSpecialized Knowledge & Applications
bulletTaxation
bulletFraud Examination & Forensic Accounting
bulletOther
bulletE-mail the text of the lecture to us in ASCII format--do not attach it to the e-mail document; put the course in the body of the e-mail itself behind the answers to the above questions. Follow the course material with between five and ten questions on the material which you feel will demonstrate the student's mastery of the subject matter. Keep the questions short, factual and to the point and include what you feel would be a good answer to each. Also include a short biography of 500 words which we can use to describe you and your qualifications as a lecturer to the students.
bulletOur editorial board will review your submission and we will e-mail you notice whether or not we wish to publish your lecture.
bulletIf we publish your lecture we will pay you $4.50 for each CPE hour of your course each time a CPENet student takes your course. If its a one CPE course you would get royalties of $4.50, if its a two CPE hour course you would get royalties of $9.00 and so on.  In addition, since our selection procedure is a juried process, publication with us will give you publication credit for your own CPE credit.
bulletEach CPENet lecture must be at least 100 minutes of self-study time in length. One hundred minutes of self-study time is equivalent to one hour of CPE. For example, a one CPE hour course could be set up so that the student reads your course material for 90 minutes and then answers five questions on the material for 10 minutes resulting in 100 minutes of self study time. A two credit course is 200 minutes and a three credit course is 300 minutes. Depending upon the complexity of the material, 100 minutes of self study time is about 9 single spaced pages in length. There would be only one set of questions regardless of whether the course was 100, 200 or 300 minutes in length.

Its as simple as that! If you have questions, e-mail them to us.
