USING YOUR PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE TO EARN ROYALTIES WITH CPENET !

Most financial and information systems audit professionals at the top of their game are constantly training themselves and others through presentations to colleagues, by addressing meetings of professional associations, by writing articles and papers and through active participation in numerous other professional venues.

CPENet would like to help you organize your existing material into lectures and webcasts which our students can use to earn continuing professional education credit (CPE).  By doing so you will help your fellow professionals earn, affordable, high quality CPE's at reasonable cost while earning a 25% royalty for each lecture sold.  If you have training materials you wish to make available to students for a fee, CPENet will work with you to cast them in our lecture format and make them available to our, and your, users on-line.

In providing continuing education credit to financial professionals, we follow the requirements of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) and of our parent institution, Global Network Academy (GNA), the distance learning arm of MIT. Both GNA and NASBA define a continuing credit hour as 55 minutes of study of material relevant to the area of the certification. A majority of professional organizations such as the Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) all follow NASBA guidelines in requiring and recognizing CPE credit.

If you think you might have materials you would like to share with your fellow professionals or students through CPENet, we suggest that you first review our catalogue of existing lectures...you can find them listed in numerical order on the Purchases page, a link to which can be found on the menu bar at the top of our Homepage. Look at the range of lecture titles and their descriptions. Focus on the various lecture lengths and the amount of associated CPE credit hours. Our lectures are in PDF format, downloaded by the student after s/he pays the lecture fee through PayPal. Students are e-mailed a password to open their lecture prior to downloading. You may also review the questions students answer on-line following their review of the lecture material by clicking on the link of the Questions page.

Following your review of our existing offerings, if you would like to propose a lecture topic to us, please fill out  this questionnaire, attach it to an e-mail and send it to us at training1493@comcast.net. If you would like to fax the questionnaire, fax it to 703-666-9141. Try to give us as full a description as you can of what you are proposing to do. If we like your proposal we will send you a password so that you can download and review a sample lecture which you can use to prepare your final submission. We will provide you with contact information, via e-mail, fax or phone so that we can dialogue and work together during the lecture finalization process. If you would like to discuss your concept prior to filling out the application, just e-mail us at the Comcast address.

Our typical lecture authors are professionals, usually with one or more certifications, practicing in the area about which they are writing. We number college professors and other academics, fraud examiners, information systems auditors, internal auditors and CPA's among our contributors.

You retain full ownership of your material. In exchange for our help in marketing your material to our student community through our website and for paying you royalties, you must agree to allow us to use your material for a minimum of 24 months. We pay royalties quarterly, directly to you, for all lectures downloaded. If there are no downloads, no royalties are paid during that quarter.

You may market your lecture(s) to those who may be interested in anyway you wish...the higher your volume of downloads, the higher your royalties. For example, if your business partners must receive training of a certain content to maintain your relationship, mandating your training through CPENet is a way to make the training pay for itself. A college professor can charge students for extra credit material she has prepared for an auditing class and we can issue them certificates of completion for taking it. The possibilities are limited only by your imagination.

Hope we hear from you...
